James (Jim) W. Haynes is retired President and Chief Executive Officer of POWER Engineers, one of the nation’s leading multi-discipline engineering firms. With over 30 years of experience spanning the food and beverage, energy, and industrial sectors, Jim is known for his strategic leadership, technical excellence, and commitment to mentorship. At POWER, he drove innovation, expanded market share, and guided the firm through its acquisition by WSP, all while fostering a culture of integrity and excellence. He has served on the boards of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Research Institute and the Design Professionals Coalition, and led impactful civic efforts through the POWER Foundation. A licensed engineer and Executive Scholar from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, Jim is respected throughout the industry for his forward-thinking approach and dedication to developing future talent.
