John W. Korka
John W. Korka is Division President at Clark Construction Group leading its CWJ subsidiary which specializes in project management services for large-scale infrastructure and defense-related projects. Korka recently retired as the Chief of Civil Engineers and Commander of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC), where he led 22,000 personnel and managed $16 billion annually in global design, construction, and facilities services for the U.S. Navy. Over his 35-year career, he held senior leadership roles that transformed military infrastructure delivery, organizational performance, and workforce development. John holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Old Dominion University, master’s degree in civil engineering and construction management from Penn State University, and a Master of Science in national security and resource strategy from the National Defense University Industrial College of the Armed Forces. He is also a graduate of the Executive Advanced Management Program at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. A respected mentor and strategic advisor, John serves on the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) Advisory Council and is a Fellow of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) and lecturer at Virginia Tech for the College of Engineering. Known for his steady leadership, people-first approach, and enduring impact on defense and public infrastructure, John continues to guide the next generation of engineering professionals with clarity, humility, and purpose.
