James Murphy is CEO of Willmeng, an employee-owned commercial general contracting firm based in Arizona, serving Arizona and the Mountain West. Murphy, who has been with the 450+-employee firm for more than 25 years, serves on many industry association boards and developed, launched and serves as an instructor of Construction Leadership at Arizona State University’s Del E. Webb School of Construction. With degrees in Construction Management and Engineering from ASU, he is recognized (DEWSC) as a Most Admired Leader, CEO of the Year, Most Admired Leader in Arizona, as well as a 10-time ASU Sun Devil 100 inductee. As a Executive Steering Committee member for the DEWSC at ASU as well as an ASU Board of Trustee member, James is dedicated to mentorship and growing future leaders in the thriving industry of construction.
