Wehr

Michael (Mike) C. Wehr is the Executive Director of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). He is a distinguished military engineer and former Deputy Chief of Engineers for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where he helped lead a $70 billion global infrastructure program across military, civil works, and disaster response. Wehr earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Santa Clara University in 1985 and later received a Master of Science in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Michael has held command and senior leadership roles at every level, including three U.S. Army divisions and multiple combat deployments. Since retiring, he has continued to serve as a strategic advisor to government and industry on resilience, infrastructure security, and leadership development. Known for his technical acumen, humility, and mentorship, General Wehr has earned national recognition for his contributions to engineering, public service, and the nation.
