Patrick L. Malone
Patrick L. Malone is President of Engineers in Action a nonprofit organization that brings together AEC companies, engineers, students, and communities to design and build infrastructure that improves access to essential basic needs. Retired as an executive with PCL Construction, he is widely respected for his work in segmental bridge delivery, solar infrastructure, and strategic corporate expansion across North America, Patrick has overseen more than $1.5 billion in heavy civil projects, including the Ringling Bridge, Sound Transit’s Central Link, and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel trestle engineering. He has held senior roles with the American Segmental Bridge Institute (ASBI), the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA), Engineers in Action, and Bridges to Prosperity, contributing both technical insight and global impact through his volunteer bridge-building efforts in Panama, and Bolivia. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Technology from Oklahoma State University. Known for his mentorship, ethics, and passion for service, Patrick exemplifies leadership rooted in both industry excellence and humanitarian purpose.
