Stuart Harrison
Stuart Harrison is Executive Director of the Charles Pankow Foundation and a nationally respected voice for innovation in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. A retired U.S. Army Colonel and licensed Professional Engineer, he brings over 40 years of leadership across military, government, and private sectors—including executive roles at AECOM, Parsons, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. Stuart’s influence spans from pioneering facility management programs and strategic military infrastructure to funding cutting-edge research in embodied carbon, construction safety, and advanced project delivery. Stuart received his M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Penn State University, his M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, and a B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point. A Fellow of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) and active in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Chi Epsilon, he also serves on the board of Fork Union Military Academy and lectures at George Mason University. Known for his character, technical insight, and civic engagement, Stuart continues to shape the industry’s future with discipline and heart.
