Brent Darnell
Brent Darnell is the founder and principal of Brent Darnell International (BDI), an organization with the mission to transform the AEC industry by strengthening human performance, communication, and collaboration at every level. A pioneer in bringing emotional intelligence and people skills to the construction industry and a third-generation construction professional, Brent began teaching these concepts in 1999. He has been recognized as Engineering News Record’s Top 25 Newsmaker award (2012) and AGC Georgia’s Volunteer of the Year Award (2017). Brent has served as an adjunct professor and guest lecturer at top institutions including Auburn, Penn State, Clemson, Georgia Tech, and KTH in Sweden. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
Beyond construction, Brent is also a writer, musician, yoga teacher, and former actor—bringing a unique, holistic perspective to his work.
He is married to Andrea Robbins.
