Steve Blum
Steve Blum is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Autodesk, a $7+ billion global design and make technology company serving industries including architecture, engineering, construction, product design, manufacturing, media, and entertainment.
As Chief Operating Officer, Steve leads Autodesk’s go-to-market strategy and operations, overseeing sales, marketing, customer success, digital platforms, sustainability and impact, and customer experience. His focus is on driving growth, strengthening customer relationships, and transforming how customers buy, adopt, and realize value from Autodesk’s products and services.
Since joining Autodesk in 2003, Steve has helped lead some of the company’s most significant business transformations. He played a central role in Autodesk’s transition from perpetual licenses to subscription and cloud offerings, the creation of its customer success organization, the evolution of its global partner ecosystem, and the modernization of its go-to-market model and customer experience. His leadership also extends to advancing collaboration between industry and academia, including supporting new approaches to industrialized construction education and preparing the next generation of engineering and construction leaders.
Steve currently serves on the advisory board of Advanced Solutions Life Sciences; the Dean’s Advisory Board and the Electrical and Computer Engineering Advisory Board at the University of Florida’s Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering; and the Dean’s Leadership Council for the College of Engineering at Oregon State University. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of the Autodesk Foundation.
In 2025, Steve was inducted into the University of Florida Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Hall of Fame. He completed the Stanford Directors’ College in 2024 and holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida.
Steve is married to Wendy, and they have two children and one granddaughter.
