Ernest Enrique
Ernest C. Enrique, PE, as Chairman and CEO of CMS Corporation, is responsible for overall company strategy, performance, and operations. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors and leads a seven-member Executive Team that manages and guides the company. Under his leadership, CMS delivers design and construction management services to federal government and private-sector clients worldwide.
Since 2014, Ernest has led the transformation of CMS from a small business with $30 million in annual revenue and 40 employees to a global federal prime contractor generating more than $250 million in annual revenue and employing more than 250 people. As principal executive, he drives the strategic growth, diversification, and geographic expansion of CMS, with accountability for contract performance, partner alignment across the company's worldwide programs and operations, and customer satisfaction.
Over a 39-year career, Ernest has developed and implemented corporate execution processes and systems that have enabled the companies he has led to scale their delivery capabilities across multiple theaters and support Department of War customers through various contract vehicles and IDIQ programs valued at more than $80 billion.
Ernest holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Universidad Rafael Urdaneta in Venezuela, earned in 1984, and an M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Toledo, earned in 1987.
He is a member and past president of the American Society of Civil Engineers (1995–1996, Ohio) and the National Society of Professional Engineers (2002–2003, Ohio). He has also held numerous leadership positions with the American Society of Military Engineers, Associated Builders and Contractors, and Associated General Contractors.
Ernest and his wife Carolina reside in Sylvania, Ohio. They have two children.
