Reginald DesRoches
Reginald DesRoches is the president of Rice University where he also serves as a professor of civil and environmental engineering, and a professor of mechanical engineering. Reginald’s top priorities are for Rice University to reach a new level of distinction nationally and internationally for impact research, award-winning scholarships and insightful creative work. He earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, an M.S. in Civil Engineering and a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
Reginald is married to Paula DesRoches, a highly accomplished healthcare professional, nurse practitioner and administrator recognized for her leadership in occupational health. The couple has three children together.
