Tom K. Sorley
Tom K. Sorley is the chairman/CEO of Rosendin Electric. He holds a degree from the University of Nebraska, where he was captain and quarterback of the Huskers football team and also earned selection to the Big Eight Conference All-Academic Team.
He has served in his current role at Rosendin since 1989. Under his leadership, Rosendin Electric, a 100 percent employee owned organization, has grown by over 2,000 percent to revenues over $2 billion. Rosendin is the largest electrical contractor in the U.S.
In addition to heading Rosendin’s leadership, Tom has served as chair of the Design-Build Institute of America, and has served as a board member for the Building Futures Council, the Beavers, the San Francisco Bay Area Boy Scouts, the Lean Construction Institute, the Construction Industry Roundtable, and the National Academy of Construction. Tom previously served in advisory roles with Arizona State University and Cal Polytechnic University. He is very active with the National Electrical Contractors Association and a contributing member of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) Public/Private Industry Council (PIAC).
He is married to Kendra, and they have two children and four grandchildren. They live in Danville, CA.
